Logo and theme customisation

As an admin, you can customise 5Mins to match your organisation's brand by uploading your logo and choosing the colours used across the platform. This article covers where to find these settings and what you can change.

Steps shown in this video

Where to find customisation settings

In the admin portal, open Account & Settings from the main menu, then select the Layout tab. This is where your branding options live.

Theme colours

Under Theme colours, you can choose the colours that best represent your brand. These apply to your sign-up / login pages and your navigation. The section shows your three current colours and whether you are using the 5Mins Theme or a Custom Theme.

To change your colours:

1. Click Edit Theme.
2. Choose Light or Dark to preview your colours against each theme.
3. Set the Header bar, Navigation menu items, and Selected menu item colours. The web and app previews update as you go.
4. Click Apply changes.

To go back to the standard 5Mins colours at any time, click Reset to Default. This button is only available once you have applied a custom theme.

Logo

Under Upload your brand logo, you can add your organisation's logo. It appears in the top left corner of the platform. You can provide:

• A Logo in light mode, for light backgrounds
• A separate Logo in dark mode, so it stays legible when learners use the dark theme

For the best result, use a horizontal image of 404 x 104 px. PNG is recommended, and JPEG is also accepted.

1. Click Select Logo under the version you want to add.
2. Drag and drop your file, or click to upload it.
3. Click Save.

Once a logo is uploaded, use Change to replace it or Remove to delete it.

Other layout options

The Layout tab also includes:

• Login / Sign Up page: upload a hero image for your login page. Use a JPG or PNG file at 1920 x 1080 px (suggested), up to 4MB.
• Make Your Workspace as default home page: turn this on to make Your Workspace the home page for everyone in your organisation, so assigned courses and content are easy to reach. When it is off, For You is the default home page. This option does not appear for every organisation.
• Lesson thumbnail image: if your organisation publishes its own lessons, upload a 256 x 256 px PNG or JPEG image to show in your lesson thumbnails.
